Sebago Lake is site of SEALs for Sunshine, a 13-mile marathon swim by 4 individual Navy SEALs on 21 August 2014 on behalf of Camp Sunshine in the state of Maine.

Camp Sunshine[edit]

Camp Sunshine is a year-round retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered.
