Rouen Smit

Rouen Smit is a 24-year-old South African open water swimmer from Cape Town who completed the Swim For Hope, an 8 km ocean swim from Diaz Beach to Buffels Bay around Cape Point in South Africa, in 2 hours 38 minutes. It was a charity swim for the Little Fighters Cancer Trust.

Ice Swimming[edit]

Smit completed one of the fastest ice mile swims in history, set in July 2011 in Fraserburg, South Africa in 5.00°C water and 10°C air in 23:57.
