There are numerous Polar Bear Plunges around the United States and throughout the world:

  • Polar Bear Plunge (Washington) is held at the Matthews Beach Park in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. It is held on 1 January 2013.
  • Polar Bear Plunge (New York) is held in Coney Island organized by the Coney Island Polar Bear Club.
  • Polar Bear Plunge is held in Seaside Heights (near The Aztec), New Jersey, U.S.A. on 23 February 2013. It is run by Special Olympics New Jersey for over 5,000 participants and is sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a volunteer effort by the Law Enforcement community of New Jersey to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey raised more than US$2.7 million in 2011.
  • Polar Bear Plunge is held in The Wildwoods Convention Center, New Jersey, U.S.A. on 19 January 2013. It is run by Special Olympics New Jersey and is sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a volunteer effort by the Law Enforcement community of New Jersey to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey.
