Peluso Open Water
Peluso Open Water is an open water swimming specialist firm aimed at triathletes and founded by Jay Peluso. Peluso Open Water specialize in preparing triathletes for their open water swim and offers a masters swimming program. "From sprint to Ironman, we will get you from the start to T-1 faster and with less effort allowing you to attack the rest of your race."
The Peluso Open Water Program includes coached group open water swims every week. Three open water races and a two-hour open water swim clinic. The program runs from April 21 to October 13, 2012. All workouts will take place at 4800 Welby Turn, Midlothian, Virginia 23113 which is home to the American Legion Post 354 near James River High School.

Peluso was a two-time All-American swimmer at the University of Massachusetts. He graduated with a degree in Sport Management where he was a standout in Swimming and Water Polo. He earned his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1996 and was inducted into the Rhode Island Aquatics Hall of Fame in 2004. During his swimming career at UMass, Peluso was a multiple school record holder and seven time New England Champion.
SwimRVA Open Water Series
Peluso Open Water offers the SwimRVA Open Water Series that includes the following swims:
- 1-mile and 2-mile RVA Miles, a river swim on 11 June 2017
- 2.5-mile and 4.4-mile DownRiver Rip on 19 August 2017
- 2.5, 4.4 mile and 10-mile Bridge & Back Swims on 15 October 2017
