Michael Glover is the Vice Chairperson and an official observer for the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association. he was also the event director who organised the Sheena Paterson Copeland Island Swim in September and is working hard to bring the Grand Belfast Swim in 2016 in the river lagan, situated in Titanic Quarter, Belfast, Northern Ireland, a part of the Belfast Harbour Estate.

Irish Long Distance Swimming Association[edit]

The Irish Long Distance Swimming Association (ILDSA) is a governing body and association that oversees open water swims, channel swims, and marathon swims in Ireland, including swims across the North Channel. The ILDSA has been recognized in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 2011 as an Honour Organisation.
