Lauren Toth, Ph.D. is a native of South Florida who became fascinated by the ocean at a very young age. Her interest in marine science brought her to the University of Miami where she pursued dual majors in Marine Biology and Film and to Florida Tech where she recently completed her PhD. Her dissertation and current post-doctoral research focuses on the impacts of climate change and oceanography on millennial-scale coral-reef development in the tropical eastern Pacific. She is a team member of the Beneath the Waves Film Festival.
