Lake Minnewaska in the state of New York is one mile (1.6 km) long by one-quarter mile (0.4 km) wide at its widest point and located in the Minnewaska State Park Preserve.

==Open Water Swimming==

*It is part of the 2022 [[Ultimate Swim-A-Thon]] by [[Joe Zemaitis]] and [[John Zemaitis]].
*The [[Terry Laughlin Celebration Swim]] is an [[open water swim]] celebrating the life and legacy of [[Terry Laughlin]] and organized by [[New York Open Water]] on 9 June 2018.

*It is one of the sites of the [[Ultimate Swim-a-Thon]], a 50-state, 50-swim extreme [[charity swim]] by American [[open water swimmer]]s and brothers [[Joseph Zemaitis]] and [[John Zemaitis]] from Arizona (otherwise known as the [[Swim Brothers]]).  The [[Ultimate Swim-a-Thon]] calls for the completion of a [[marathon swim]] of at least 10 km in distance in all 50 states within 30 days.
