Karl-Heinz Rauert and his support crew of the Beltquerung

Karl-Heinz Rauert was the first person to achieve the Beltquerung, a swim across the Baltic Sea between Denmark and Germany. Rauert accomplished the Beltquerung on 25 July 1939 by swimming from his hometown of Fehmarn to Denmark, accompanied by a boat captain, his mate and his father.
