Julie Farrell (née Galloway) is an American open water swimmer who lives in Ireland.
Open Water Swimming Career[edit]
- On 1 August 2011, Farrell set the overall record for the Island of Jersey circumnavigation in 9 hours 32 minutes 45 seconds (Jersey Solo). Her record-setting solo swim was nominated for the 2011 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year by the World Open Water Swimming Association. Married to Dave Farrell, she set her record in the Island of Jersey that is located in the English Channel approximately 14 miles (22 km) from Normandy, France and approximately 100 miles (162 km) south of Great Britain.
