Jonathan "Joner" Strauss is an open water swimming race director and extreme sports event organizer from Miami, Florida. Strauss is the Founder/ Creator of Board Up Productions, LLC, a non-traditional lifestyle and action sports event-marketing agency since 2005. He organizes Swim Miami presented by Nike, one of America's Top 50 Open Water Swims. He was named one of the 101 Movers And Shakers In The Open Water Swimming World by the Daily News of Open Water Swimming in 2013 and is one of the race directors on the 2014-2015 World Open Water Swimming Series.

Strauss organizes the following events:

  • Swim Miami presented by Nike is an annual multi-race open water swimming competition in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. with race distances of 5 km, 10 km, 1 mile
  • 9.2-mile Alligator Reef Lighthouse Swim, a marathon swim in Islamorada, Florida
  • Board Up Miami, South Florida’s only Action Sports Festival since 2006 featuring the world’s best wakeboarders, South Florida’s top skateboarders, BMX demos, swimsuit fashion shows, and live music held annually in April
  • CBS Alt Games, Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals Event Director since 2009 in San Diego, California. Played host to the top 100 Collegiate Wakeboarders in the USA.
  • The Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon World Tour, created the first of its kind race combining fitness and action sports. Orchestrated a 4 city tour that featured top cities: Hallandale Beach, New York City, San Juan, and Dallas.
  • The International Distance Skateboard Association, the World Governing Body for Push Skateboarding/Longboarding.
  • Get Stoked, a traveling adventure sports, lifestyle festival featuring the sports of Endurance Skateboarding, Stand Up Paddleboarding, and open water swimming
