Matty Mitchell, Jon McMullen and Peter Joseph at end of the Big Richard, the world's longest and toughest ocean biathlon

Jon McMullen is an experienced waterman and paddler from Long Beach, California who completed the 1st annual Big Richard, the longest swim-run beach biathlon in the world, from the Wedge in Newport Beach to Long Beach, California. It includes 20 miles of soft sand running and 7 miles of ocean swimming. He completed the marathon biathlon together with Matty Mitchell and Peter Joseph in 7 hours 56 minutes.
