Erdal Acet

Erdal Acet is a Turkish open water swimmer who set the world record across the English Channel in August 1976 in 9 hours 2 minutes from England to France. Acet learned how to swim at the irrigation channel of Adana city in Turkey. A documentary was made of his life that won a special film prize.
