Dotonbori

Dotonbori is a downtown area in the city of Osaka on the island of Honshu in Japan that lies along the south bank of the Dotonbori-gawa Canal. The entire area of Dotonbori is crowded with a large number of restaurants, amusement facilities, Bunraku shows, storytellers' halls and movie theaters.
Dotonbori is often selected as a scene in the Japanese and foreign movies as the symbol of Osaka. The Dotonbori-gawa Canal is lined with advertisements and neon signs and decorated with neon lamps.
It is site of the newly planned Pool Dotonbori.
