Doreen 'Dori' Miller of Bondi Beach, Australia is an American-born open water swimmer and lifesaver who is a member of Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club and Bondi Icebergs. She has lived in Australia since 2009 and is a member of the 24-hour Club.

Channel Swimming[edit]

Miller has completed three separate English Channel crossings.

  • She aborted her first two-way English Channel crossing attempt in 13 hours and her second two-way English Channel crossing in 21 hours before completing her third attempt in 2014 in 26 hours 21 minutes to join the 24-hour Club.
  • On 13 August 2005, she completed the 12.9 km Boston Light Swim in Massachusetts in 3 hours 4 minutes at the age of 34.
  • In 2006, she completed the 25 km Swim Across The Sound in Connecticut in 7 hours 33 minutes 23 seconds.
  • On 8 August 2008, she completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 10 hours 17 minutes at the age of 37.
  • On 16 May 2010, she completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater in Australia in 3 hours 41 minutes at the age of 39.
  • On 7 August 2010, she completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 10 hours 38 minutes 30 seconds at the age of 39.
  • On 14 August 2010, she completed the 12.9 km Boston Light Swim in Massachusetts in 2 hours 42 minutes 45 seconds at the age of 39.
  • On 26 February 2011, she completed the 19.7 km Rottnest Channel Swim in Western Australia in 5 hours 56 minutes 18 seconds at the age of 40. *On 15 May 2011, she completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater in Australia in 2 hours 43 minutes 9 seconds at the age of 40.
  • On 8 August 2012, she completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 11 hours 45 minutes 15 seconds at the age of 41.
  • In 2013, she completed the 10 km Balmoral Ocean Swim in Australia in 2 hours 31 minutes 58 seconds.
  • On 18 May 2014, she completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater in Australia in 3 hours 14 minutes at the age of 43.
  • On 5 August 2014, she completed a two-way crossing of the English Channel from England to France to England in 26 hours 21 minutes (12 hours 8 minutes on the first leg + 14 hours 13 minutes on the second leg) at the age of 43.
