David Aubry

David Aubry is a finalist in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games held on 5 August 2021 in Odaiba Marine Park in Tokyo Bay, Japan

David Aubry (born 8 November 1996 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France) is a 24-year-old French pool and open water swimmer.

Open Water Swimming Career

• He finished fourth in the 7.5 km race at the 2nd FINA World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Lake Balaton in Balatonfured, Hungary on 5 September 2014.
• He finished third in the 2017 La Patagones Viedma in Argentina.
• He finished third at the 2017 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
• He competed in the 10 km marathon swim and the mixed 5 km team relay at the 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships in Lake Balaton, Hungary.
  • On 18 July 2019, his 5 km Mixed Team relay finished 6th in 54:37.10 at the 18th FINA World Championships in South Korea at the age of 22.
  • On 16 July 2019, he finished 10th in the 10 km in 1:48:05.10 at the 18th FINA World Championships in South Korea at the age of 22.
• On 20 July 2017, she won the 5 km team relay race at the 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships in Lake Balaton, Hungary with Oceane Maryse Jeannie Cassignol, Aurélie Muller, and Marc-Antoine Olivier.
• He finished 8th overall in the 2017 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup professional marathon swimming circuit.
• He competes on the 2018 FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series.
• He won a bronze medal in the 5 km Team event at the 2018 European Championships.
• On 31 March 2019, he finished 2nd at the LEN Open Water Cup 10 km race in Eilat, Israel.
• On 23 May 2019, he won the 10 km LEN Open Water Cup in Lac du Causse in Brive, France.
• In July 2019, he finished 10th in the 10 km marathon swim at the 2019 FINA World Swimming Championships in South Korea to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
• In July 2019, he finished 4th in the 1500m freestyle at the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
• In July 2019, he won a bronze medal in the 800m freestyle at the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
• On 12 August 2018, he finished 15th in the 25 km in 5:06:03.10 at the European Championships in the UK at the age of 21.
• On 11 August 2018, he finished 3rd in the 5 km mixed team relay in 52:46.70 at the European Championships in the UK at the age of 21.
• On 9 August 2018, he finished 12th in the 10 km in 1:49:52.00 at the European Championships in the UK at the age of 21.
• On 5 August 2021, he competed in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in Odaiba Marine Park in Tokyo Bay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
