Charles Devendeville

Charles de Vendeville (born 8 March 1882 in Lesquin, Nord, France, died 19 September 1914 at 42 years in Rheims, Marne, France) was an Olympic open water swimmer and water polo player. He competed at the 1900 Paris Olympic Games where he received a gold medal in the underwater swimming where he swam for 60.0 meters underwater in 68.5 seconds. He died of injuries during the First World War, at age 32.
