Brian Glover

From Openwaterpedia

Brian Glover is a South African open water swimmer and one of the co-founders of the Midmar Mile in South Africa with Mike Arbuthnot and Dick Park.

Midmar Mile[edit]

South Africa's Midmar Mile, the world's largest open water swim, was swum for the first time in 1973 when Glover and his two friends Mike Arbuthnot and Dick Park were unable to compete in the Buffalo Mile in East London because of petrol restrictions and decided to stage a race in KwaZulu-Natal.
