The Varna-Galata Swimming Marathon (Плувен маратон Галата-Варна) has been continuing in Varna Bay in the Black Sea for 85 years. Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Varna traditionally hosts the Galata-Varna Swimming Marathon which also hosts a shorter open water swim of 300 meters for juniors.

It is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.
