Tuna Thumper

Tuna Thumper is a 42-foot dual-engine vessel moored out of Ventura Harbor in California, USA that is captained by Bob Andrieux and his first mate Mike Bewley who have an unusual piloting streak in their Santa Barbara Channel solo crossings: the duo have never had a swimmer enter the water and not finish a swim.

The Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association (SBCSA) supports and sanctions open water swims to, from, and between 7 of the 8 Channel Islands off the coast of Southern California, USA.
