The annual Tampa Bay Frogman Swim is a charity 5 km open water swim in Tampa Bay, Florida organized by Kurt Ott and Rory O'Connor to help raise funds for severely injured active duty Navy SEALs. The swim is supported by the Navy SEAL Foundation and is one of America's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

On 3 January 2010 with less than 3 weeks notice, over 100 people gathered at Gandy Beach to swim and support raising over US$30,000 for a severely injured active duty Navy SEAL. The swim has been formally named the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim and is supported by the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Navy SEAL Foundation

The Navy SEAL Foundation supports wounded and fallen Navy SEALs and their families. 100% of proceeds from the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim are donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Its goal is to build national awareness of the Naval Special Warfare community and become a key fundraiser of the Navy SEAL Foundation by building a premier annual event that challenges athletes with weather conditions similar to SEAL training. The proceeds to the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim will be used to provide injury assistance to Navy SEALs and tragedy assistance for families who have lost a loved one in training or combat. Our goal is to provide support for the Naval Special Warfare Community and perpetuate the history and heritage of the U.S. Naval Commandos.
