Syndi Goldenson

Syndi Goldenson is an American open water swimming coach and former marathon swimmer who successfully completed the Catalina Channel from Catalina Island to the California mainland on 23 August 1977 in 15 hours 5 minutes.

USA Long Distance International Championships

Goldenson was also a coach of the American team at the 1984 USA Long Distance International Championships which was the first race across the Catalina Channel since the Wrigley Ocean Marathon in 1927.
