Steven Manley

Steven Manley, Ph.D. of Laguna Beach, California is a biology professor at California State University Long Beach who is co-heading Kelp Watch 2014, a scientific campaign designed to determine the extent of radioactive contamination of the West Coast of America’s kelp forest from Japan’s damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant following the 11 March 2011, earthquake and tsunami. He tested the kelp off Southern California for radiation contamination with short-lived radioisotopes a month after Japan's Fukushima accident.
