Steve White, The Swimming Gardener
Steve White is a British open water swimmer who swam 15 miles through the sea from Littlehampton to Worthing and back. Despite high winds, strong currents and a swell up to three meters, White, completed his endurance challenge in a little over 10 hours.

The 43-year-old, nicknamed the Swimming Gardener, raised more than £13,000 in the process, mostly for The Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice in West Sussex and a smaller sum for lifeboat charity the RNLI, which gave White sterling service with a support crew every stroke of the way.
