Sarah Thomas is an open water swimmer from Colorado who holds the world record at the Horsetooth Open Water Swim and was leading the 2012 24-mile Tampa Bay Marathon Swim before it was cancelled due to thunderstorms. She is the 58th person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. She completed a Catalina Channel crossing on 27 July 2010 in 9 hours 6 minutes, the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on 18 June 2011 in 7 hours 36 minutes, and the English Channel in 11 hours 23 minutes on 13 August 2012.
