SF to SB Relay was a 6-person charity swim attempt by the Night Train Swimmers to swim 339 miles (545.5 km) non-stop from San Francisco to Santa Barbara along the California coast from 23-28 September 2012. Captain Vito Bialla and Patrick Horn helped guide, feed and assist swimmers Phil Cutti, Dave Holscher, Joe Locke, Kim Chambers and Zack Jirkovsky swim non-stop for 6 days before the swim was unexpected halted due to safety when the athletes encountered bloom after bloom of venomous jellyfish.
