Rob Laurie

Rob Laurie is a second generation Lake Tahoe resident and a world-class triathlete. Growing up on Lake Tahoe, Laurie knows the lake like the back of his hand. Having swam for Incline High and then Division 1 at California State University at Long Beach, Laurie now runs one of the largest construction companies in the Tahoe Area. He trains in the lake throughout the year. He is planning a single crossing in the summer of 2012, and has started a multi-sport coaching program. He is married and has two children that are both on local Tahoe swim and ski teams.

He is a founding member of the Lake Tahoe Swimming Society and completed a wetsuit-assisted marathon swim across the Lake Tahoe on 28 July 2012 in 10 hours 42 minutes.

The Lake Tahoe Swimming Society was founded by Jamie Patrick, Karen Rogers, Brian Patterson, Garrett Harley and Rob Laurie.
