Pat Hines is an American open water swimmer who completed the Catalina Channel on 30 August 1981 in 11 hours 17 minutes. She is recorded as the 42nd solo Catalina Channel Swimming Federation swimmer. She also began the tradition of the Catalina Channel Rabbit's Foot when she presented the original good luck charm to Richard Marks for his 1981 Catalina Channel attempt. Those who have carried the Catalina Channel Rabbit's Foot have been successful.
