The Newport Sharkfest® Swim is part of the Sharkfest series and is a 1.5 km open water swim to be held on 28 September 2013 in Newport, Rhode Island. It is part of the America's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

The Newport Sharkfest Swim takes place along the historic waterfront of Newport from the harbormaster’s dock at Perotti Park in front of the Newport Marriott Hotel. It will be an in-water start in waves of 75 to proceed past the docks on your left side and anchored sailboats on the right side of the swimming channel. The 1500 meter swim will be a straight shot down the harbor to finish on the beach at King Park in the shadow of the statue of Rochambeau. Post event festivities will take place in the park, including the awards ceremony and the appropriate post swim fare. The event is limited to 400 participants.

Newport Sharkfest® has a cutoff time of 50 minutes and an expected water temperature of ~63-67°F.
