Kimberly Dyke of Victoria was Canada's open water swimmer of the year in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. She finished 3rd in the 25 km Traversée Internationale du lac Memphrémagog in Quebec, Canada in 1990, 2nd in the 1993 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships 25 km, and won the 1995 Marathon Acuatica Internacional 26 km in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.
