Joakim Larsson

Joakim Larsson is an open water swimmer who won the 2011 Vidösternsimmet, a 21 km marathon swim in Lake Vidöstern in Småland, Sweden traditionally held in August. The Vidösternsimmet is Sweden's longest open water swimming competition that stretches from north of Osudden in Jönköping County to the Strait of Kronoberg in the south. The race is divided into five different legs between 2.8km and 5.5km where swimmers stopped for hydration and refueling. Wetsuits (optional) and orange-colored swimmer safety devices are used.
