Jimi Kiner, founder of the Triton Masters Swim Team
Jimi Kiner has been the Head Coach of competitive age group swimmers, adult swimmers, open water swimmers and triathletes at the Greater Tampa Swimming Association since 2001. He founded the Triton Masters Swim Team.

[edit] Athletic Career

During his swimming career at The University of Tampa (1997-2001), Kiner was a 22 time All-American, including a National Championship in the 100 Breaststroke (55.49) in 2000. In 2000 he represented the Greater Tampa Swimming Association at the United States Olympic Trials.

[edit] Coaching Career

As a coach, he has guided many swimmers to USA Swimming National Swimming Championships. He also is the Assistant Coach at The University of Tampa. He has overseen two NCAA Division II National Records, 12 NCAA Individual National Champions, one NCAA National Relay Champion, a staggering 78 All-Americans, and continually posts in the top 20 teams in NCAA Division II Men and Women's Swimming.

[edit] Triton Masters Swim Team

He also founded and leads the Masters/Triathlon team called the Triton Masters Swim Team that he began in 2006 where he focuses on the development of adult masters swimmers and triathletes from beginners to the advanced. The U.S. Masters Swimming program is offered at the University of Tampa on Monday-Thursday from 5:30-6:30 am at the University of Tampa pool.
