Jason Lassen is an open water swimmer who set the world record in swimming breaststroke across the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the California mainland in 15 hours 59 minutes, using all breaststroke in the 20.2-mile channel without the benefit of GPS technology.

He did not complete his first attempt to become the first person to swim from Beaver Island in Lake Michigan to the shoreline of Michigan on an 18-mile solo breaststroke swim.
