The International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame honourees and award winners were recognized and celebrated during the 2011 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in a special induction ceremony at the United Nations Building in New York City on June 18th.
Honourees included:
- Hawaiian Island channel swimming great Dr. Harry Huffaker
- Japanese marathon swimmer Yuko Matsuzaki
- English Channel and Catalina Channel veteran Anne Cleveland
- American professional marathon swimmer Fran Crippen
- American William 'Bill' Goll as a Pioneer Swimmer
- Australian Richard Campion as an Honour Administrator
- New Yorker Drury Gallagher as an Honoree Administrator
- Rottnest Channel Swim Association as an Honour Organisation
- Catalina Channel Swimming Federation as an Honour Organisation
The International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame also awarded its Certificate of Merit to the following individuals:

Steven Munatones received the Irving Davids-Captain Roger Wheeler Memorial Award which was established by the New England Marathon Swimming Association. This award is given to an individual to honor and recognize contributions to marathon swimming as a perpetual memorial to Irving Davids and Captain Roger Wheeler.
