verb - Ice-hole swimming (or Avantouinti in the Finnish language) is swimming in a frozen body of water that requires cutting a hole in the ice, where the water temperature hovers around 0°C (32°F).

The Avantouinti Society is a group of swimmers who enjoy swimming in ice holes cut in frozen lakes and ponds.
