Hugh Tucker

Hugh Tucker is an open water swimmer and escort pilot from South Africa and is the one of the oldest successful swimmers of the English Channel. A member of the Half Century Club, he was 53 when he crossed from England to France in 13 hours 37 minutes in 2004. He is a marathon swimmer, observer and maker of a swimming shark cage for False Bay attempts. He has also been piloting for the Cape Long Distance Swimming Association (CLDSA) from mid 1970's to the present.
