noun - Helicam is a remote controlled miniature helicopter that takes aerial photography of sporting competitions and events and terrain of all kinds. Images are then downloaded by the ground-based operator to websites for viewing.

The aerial photography of the Midmar Mile was provided by RC Helicam with a portable helicam operated from onshore.

The helicams also provides footage for ground-based virtual tours and provides Aerial 360 Photos (of the 2012 aQuellé Midmar Mile).
