Helge Jensen is an open water swimmer from Denmark and Canada who was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1970 as an Honour Swimmer. Jensen swam the English Channel in 13 hours 17 minutes in 1959 in the Butlin International race and set a world record in the English Channel swimming from England to France in 10 hours 23 minutes in 1960 that stood for 16 years. He won the 1959 34 km (21-mile) Traversée Internationale du lac St-Jean professional race in Quebec, Canada and finished second in the 1958 race.
