noun - Get-out (or Deck-up or Pull-out or Pull-up) is a pool training methodology whereby swimmers or triathletes pull themselves out of the pool after each swim and then dive back into the water for the next swim during an interval-training set. The methodology prepares the athletes for the end of an open water race with an onshore finish or a T1 transition in a triathlon. It is one element of the concept of interleaving in the training of open water swimmers and triathletes.

The coach asked the swimmers to do a set of 10 get-outs where they pulled themselves out of the pool and dove back into the water for 10 fifty-yard sprints on one minute.
