Dr. Gary Claydon is an Australian open water swimmer who has completed solo swims of the 19.7 km Rottnest Channel Swim in Western Australia in 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2012 to date. His swims have been honored by the Rottnest Channel Swim Honour Board.

He also placed second at the 2011 Clean Half Extreme Marathon Swim in Hong Kong.
