GaddinAbtGarnish is a 1 km, 3 km (1 circumnavigation) and 5 km (2 circumnavigations) around Garnish Island in the harbour of Glengarriff, County Cork, Ireland organized by Oswald Schmidt.

THe GaddinAbtGarnish 2011 was held on 11 September 2011 as a charity swim for the Cork ARC Cancer Support House. It was the first organised swim around Garnish Island in beautiful Glengarriff. Spectators followed the swimmers in ferry boats.

Venue

Garnish Island (properly Garinish Island or Garinis in Irish or Ilnacullin or sometimes Illaunacullin, derives from Oileán an Chulinn in Irish meaning 'island of holly') is a very tranquil, popular tourist attraction in Ireland, located in the small harbour of Glengarriff, County Cork which forms part of Bantry Bay. Ilnacullin is the name used by the National Parks and Monuments Service to differentiate it from Garinish Island in Co Kerry.
