Erik Strand is a Swedish open water swimmer from Hedemoravägen. He is showcased on a stamp of the Vansbrosimningen that is part of the Swedish Series together with Anders Olsson. He won the 2005 Vansbrosimningen event in 33:31.9.

Vansbrosimningen

The Vansbrosimningen is a large open water swimming competition in Sweden that reached over 14.000 participants in 2013. There are three race lengths: 1 km, 1.5 km and 3 km. The 3 km race is the classical Vansbrosimningen which has been swum since 1950 and is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims. All races start at different point in the Vanån River and end in the Västerdalälven River. The swimmers swim downstream in Vanån and upstream the last ca. 1000 m in Västerdalälven.
