Sistema Djan Madruga Djan Madruga] is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Brazil who participates in open water swims as a masters swimmer and who owns and operates the Djan Madruga Swim Club (Sistema Djan Madruga).

Perspective

"Swimming is my life. After the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics, I did some triathlons and the Ironman and kept doing masters swimming to stay in shape and have fun. I do a lot of open water swims and have done masters swimming since 1990 [winning the 400- and 800-meter freestyle and the 200- and 400-meter IMs at the Perth Masters World Championships]. I try to get in 4 km four times per week."
