Diego Degano, 4-time winner of the [[[Maratón Acuática Internacional Santa Fe - Coronda]]
Diego Degano is an Honour Swimmer from Argentina who was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1995. Degano was a world-class professional marathon swimmer in the 1990s. He is now campaigning to become a local politician in Santa Fe, Argentina.

Marathon Swimming Career

He won the 40 km (25-mile) Traversée Internationale du lac St-Jean race in 1991, was 2nd in the 1992 Traversée Internationale du lac St-Jean in 9 hours 47 minutes and was 5th in the 1993 Traversée Internationale du lac St-Jean in 9 hours 33 minutes. He also placed second in the 1990 Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli that was the professional marathon swimming championship that year and won the Maratón Acuática Internacional Santa Fe - Coronda, a 57 km (35-mile) race in Argentina's Coronda River in 1988, 1990, 1992 and 1993.
