David Meca Medina (born February 1, 1974 in Sabadell) is a long distance pool and open water swimmer from Spain, who was a world-class swimmer in both the pool and open water. He was inducted as an Honour Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame and has swum from mainland Spain to Ibiza among his exploits. He won gold at the 2005 FINA World Championships in Montréal for the men's open water 25 km.

Meca took silver in the 5 km event at the 2000 World Championships in Hawaii. He also won silver in the 25 km marathon swim competition and a bronze in the 10 km at the 2003 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona, Spain.

Meca successfully swam the English Channel on 10 August 2004 in a time of 7 hours 46 minutes and again on 29 August 2005 in a time of 7 hours 22 minutes, both times rank in the Top Ten of All-Time.

He swims for the Club Natació Sabadell and is a 11-time winner of the Descenso a Nado de la Ría de Navia. Meca once served a one-year ban following a positive test for nandrolone, a banned performance enhancer.
