Christian Reichert (born 7 February 1985) is a German police officer and professional open water swimmer who specializes in the 5 km and 10 km events while competing on the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup professional circuit.

International Career

Reichert has been a long-time member of the German national open water swimming team. He finished second in the 2011 FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup series. He is married to Nadine Reichert who also finished second in the 2011 FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup series.

He is also the world record holder of the 5km Descenso a Nado de la Ría de Navia, as is Nadine Reichert and won the 2013 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup race in Eilat, Israel. He finished second in the 10 km Traversée internationale du lac Mégantic on 10 August 2013 and won the professional New World Harbour Race in Hong Kong on 6 October 2013.

He won the gold medal at the 2013 FINA World Championships in the 5 km team pursuit relay, winning gold with Thomas Lurz and Isabelle Franziska Härle and finished fourth overall in the 2013 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup professional circuit.
