Chris Layton is the current world record holder for the Chicago Skyline Swim, along with David Blanke and Marcia Cleveland, set in 2008 in 12 hours and 49 minutes. He also completed a tandem swim across the 12.4-mile Anacapa Channel on 23 July 2011 with Marcia Cleveland from Anacapa Island to Oxnard in 6 hours 0 minutes.
