Brendan Capell, 2004 25K World Champion
Brendan Capell was born on Sept 26, 1984 in Brisbane, Australia and was one of the world's best open water swimmers at his peak.

Capell started out in the international arena by winning the 25K race at the 2004 World Open Water Swimming Championships in Dubai. He continued his dominance in the same event by becoming the Australian champion in 2005.

Brendan took part in both China World Cup and Hong Kong World Cup in 2004, finishing ninth.

Brendan has always been praised for his consistency, high stroke rate, and phenomenal kick and is equally well-known in the elite echelon of the marathon swimming world for gentlemanly nature and flashing smile.
