Ar-Men Raid

Ar-Men Raid is a 15 km (9 mile) solo or relay crossing between the Ar-Men Lighthouse and Tévennec Lighthouse in western France. The crossing allows for in-the-water starts and finishes. Jacques Tuset of France was the first person to successfully complete this crossing in 5 hours 11 minutes on 2 August 2013, escorted by kayakers Hugues Termeau and Patrice Le Roux. Swim crossings are governed by the French Société Nationale des Phares et Balises (SNPB).

Ar-Men Raid Conditions

Swimmers can face heavy seas, cold water between 14-17°C, jellyfish and very strong currents.
