Andrew Coyle is an official observer for the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association who served on the record-setting crossing of the North Channel by Milko van Gool on 30 July 2013 and Darren Miller on his culmination of the Oceans Seven.

Coyle also completed an ice swim in Camlough Lake, North Ireland in January 2013 with the water temperature at 3.7ºC (38.6ºF) for 1610 meters.
