Alan Macleay

Alan Macleay is a British open water swimmer who is a member of the Half Century Club and one of the oldest successful swimmers of the English Channel for his crossing from England to France at the age of 57 in 22 hours 14 minutes in 2006.

He is a member of One Foot in the Wave, a 6-person English Channel relay that also included Michael Jennings, Margot Anderson, Pamella Bessell, and Kevin Murphy. One Foot in the Wave set a record for the oldest English Channel relay in 2012 with an average age of 67 years and 42 days.
